What It Does
Consult provides answers to your clinical questions by going beyond established guidelines, showing how similar patients have responded in real-world scenarios. Responses are grounded in academic journals and guidelines to support your clinical decision-making. By querying Consult, you earn AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™.
Clinical Use Case
When a question arises around treatment during a patient encounter or in between visits, Consult aids your clinical judgement by providing answers rooted in real-world evidence and patient outcomes across similar populations, saving you the time of research each time you have a query. Consult is designed to aid your clinical judgement and decision making, not replace it.

How to Access & Use Consult
Consult is accessible from the main navigation bar in Jiro. Select the Consult tab to open the interface, then type your clinical question into the text field and tap (mobile) or click (web) Send to submit.
- + icon — starts a new Consult conversation. Select this to begin a fresh query without affecting previous threads.
- Clock icon — opens your conversation history. Select any prior conversation to review a previous response.
- Responses are organized into a structured clinical summary with inline references. Hover over a reference on desktop, or tap on mobile, to preview source details.
- After receiving a response, use the thumbs up or thumbs down buttons to rate it and optionally leave a comment.
Important To Remember
- Consult is not a replacement for your clinical judgment. All responses should be interpreted alongside your clinical knowledge and the specifics of the patient encounter.
- Consult is not designed for emergency clinical decisions. Follow your institution's standard protocols in urgent situations.
- Response accuracy depends on the availability and quality of indexed literature and guidelines. References are sourced from indexed databases and may not always reflect the most recently published data.
- On rare occasions, responses may be slower or incomplete.
- To obtain AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™, you must complete the associated attestation and acknowledgment statement after clicking “Claim CME Credit”
