Overview
Consult adds personalized context to every response by using claims data linked to your NPI such as your diagnoses and procedures, specialty selection, and real-world practice history. This context reflects your actual clinical patterns, the diagnoses you most commonly treat, the procedures you perform, and how your practice compares to peers in your specialty.
What Shapes Your Consult Experience
Your Specialty & Practice Profile
Existing data tied to your NPI and your selected specialty provides Consult with your most common diagnoses, and the procedures you perform. Clinicians in a focused specialty will see more targeted contextual data than those with broader practices.
Your Diagnoses & Procedures
De-identified, aggregated real-world data associated with your NPI gives Consult a picture of your practice patterns. When you ask a clinical question, Consult can surface treatment patterns, diagnostic workup trends, and medication utilization data relevant to your specialty and most common conditions.
Jiro does not use individually identifiable patient data. All real-world data used for personalization is de-identified and aggregated.
Aggregated Peer Cohort Data
Comparative layers in Consult's responses are added through aggregated peer cohort data. Where available, Consult surfaces de-identified, aggregated data showing how clinicians in your specialty, region, or practice setting approach the same clinical scenario, allowing you to place your own practice patterns in context.
The Personalized For You Section
Consult structures every response in three sections: Guidelines, Clinical Answer, and Personalized for You.
The Personalized For You section draws on real-world data associated with your NPI to contextualize the response for your practice and show you how clinicians with similar practices diagnose and treat the same conditions, the medications most commonly prescribed, and where your own patterns compare within that broader picture.
Consult anchors its evidence-based responses in the context of your specific practice.

Peer Cohort Data & Charts
Peer cohort data may surface as embedded charts (e.g., medication utilization rates) to support clinical trend interpretation. These charts display aggregated data, for example, medication utilization rates by dosage across a peer cohort and are intended to support clinical trends and interpretation at a glance. Chart availability varies by account and session. When absent, text-based personalization continues to reflect your NPI-level context.

How Your Experience Evolves Over Time
Your personalized context is built from your practice profile at the time you join Jiro. As additional real-world data becomes available and your claims history matures, Consult draws on a more complete picture of your practice.
Jiro periodically refreshes the underlying data pipelines that power your personalized context. Very recent changes to your practice patterns may not appear immediately.
Real-world data typically has a lag of around 6 months. Allow a full data cycle before expecting recent practice changes to be reflected in your Consult experience.
Why Your Personalization May Be Limited
Personalization in Consult scales with the quality and completeness of your available practice data, it is not an on/off state.
When Jiro has comprehensive real-world data for your NPI, Consult responses reflect your individual practice patterns. When data coverage is lower, responses fall back progressively to less specific sources:
- Medium coverage: Responses are personalized using your available data
- Low coverage: Personalization draws on specialty-level or location-level context rather than your individual NPI data.
- No data (new NPI or resident): Consult provides clinical guidance grounded in guidelines and literature. The Personalization section reflects specialty-level real-world data charts only.
In all cases, Consult continues to deliver clinically relevant responses. Coverage limitations are disclosed transparently within the response.
Important To Remember
- Consult's personalized context depends on the real-world data available for your NPI. If you are new to practice, the Personalized for You section may reflect specialty-level patterns rather than your individual practice.
- When data coverage is limited, you will still receive fully evidence-grounded responses. Access to Consult is never restricted based on data availability.
- Peer cohort data surfaced in Consult responses are aggregated and de-identified. Individual patient data is never included in peer comparisons.
- If your practice spans multiple locations or specialties, personalization reflects the real-world data associated with your NPI on file.
- Peer cohort chart availability may vary. If a chart is absent from a response, the Personalization section text remains active and reflects your NPI-level context.
