How to Earn CME Credit

Jiro allows you to earn CME credit through your activity on the platform.



Jiro Health provides AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ to licensed clinicians through specific activities integrated within the Jiro Health platform without needing to leave your workflow.

The program's objective is to enable clinicians to earn and track credits seamlessly while utilizing the tool, via a short attestation and acknowledgement. Credits are submitted to PARS through the ACCME program.

1. CME Credits In Jiro

Clinicians can track and claim their earned credits directly within the Jiro Health platform. Jiro is authorized to issue credits through our joint partnership with MedicusCME, an ACCME accredited provider.


2. How You Can Earn CME Credits

All credits earned within Jiro are AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. To earn the credit awards listed below, users must complete the corresponding attestation and acknowledgement.

Consult Ask a point-of-care clinical question in Consult. 0.50 CME credits awarded.

3. Claiming Credit

Complete a CME-Eligible Activity

Use Jiro to complete one of the eligible CME activities outlined in the table above.

Click Claim CME Credit Button

Following the completion of a CME-eligible activity, Jiro will present you with the option to claim CME credit for the activity.

Content Acknowledgement

Finish the acknowledgement and attestation for the activity. This includes acknowledging learning goals and objectives, answering attestation questions, and asserting that the content is free of commercial bias.

Credit Award

After submission of the attestation, the credit is awarded and logged in your Jiro account.


4. How Jiro Reports CME Credit

Reporting Cadence

  • Jiro uses bulk uploads credits monthly from our internal systems to the PARS data transfer system

Data Fields Submitted to PARS

  • Learner First Name/Last Name, loaded from your profile
  • Date of birth
  • Completion date
  • Total credits claimed
  • The type of activity
  • Your state or country of licensure (users who have multiple state licenses will be prompted to list their primary state of licensure)
  • Your medical license number

5. Troubleshooting

Issue What to Try
I completed an activity but don't see credits Not all Jiro activities provide CME credit. Ensure you completed an approved CME activity.
My credit amount is wrong Check the amount of awarded credits you received for a completed activity. There are caps to earnable CME credits each month.
I cannot find CME eligible content Confirm that your profile reflects a licensed clinician role that is eligible to claim CME credits.
The Claim CME Credit button is greyed out A greyed out button indicates that you have reached the maximum amount of CME credits you can earn in a month.
Credits in Jiro do not match my board or transcript Check the "as of" date of the last PARS upload, Jiro uploads on a monthly basis. Also be sure that your info in Jiro matches info for your board.

Who is eligible to earn CME credits in Jiro?

The CME program is currently designed for physicians and clinicians who are eligible to earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

What type of CME credits can I earn through Jiro Health?

Eligible users will be able to earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ by completing specific events within the Jiro Health Platform.

Where can I see how many CME credits I have earned?

Navigate to your profile in either the Jiro application or on desktop. Once you are in your profile view, click on the “CME” tab below your user card to view your CME balance.

Are there limits to how many CME credits I can earn?

Yes, to maintain compliance and appropriate use, there is a maximum level of CME credits that can be earned in a month. Once that threshold is hit, your "Claim CME Credit" button will be greyed out.

Will my credits be reported to my board or state licensing body?

Credits are reported to PARS with your license state or country. From there, availability to boards or state bodies depends on how they interact with PARS.
