When Does Jiro Use Notifications
New Insights & Relevant Discover Summaries
- New insights generated from your practice or patient panel
- Newly available or updated Discover summaries that are relevant to your specialty or prescribing patterns

Practice & Engagement Updates
- Perk and streak progress

Types of Notifications in Jiro
Below are different categories of notifications and event that trigger them.
Account & Authorization
Account creation, one time password, password reset request and changes, new device logins, and account deletion.
Billing & Subscription
Successful payments, subscription renewed or cancelled, and plan upgrades or downgrades.
System & Administration
Feature releases or release notes, and feature tips.
Compliance & Legal
Updated agreements requiring a signature, such as EULA, BAA, etc.
Perks
Sign-up bonuses, perk progress, hot streaks, monthly milestone completions, monthly perk awards and earnings summaries, referral milestones, and perk redemption statuses.
Continuing Medical Education
CME credit earned, CME credit reports, CME milestone reached, CME credits expiring, New CME-eligible content available for you.
Discover
New personalized articles summaries for you, weekly literature digest, trending article in your specialty.
Insights
New Insights available from your data, significant change detected in your Metrics, monthly Insights summary.
Consult

Notifications Settings
If You Allow Notifications
- Jiro can send you push notifications based on your in-app preferences
- You can still adjust which types of notifications you receive within Jiro
If You Deny Notifications
- Jiro will not send system-level push notifications to your device
- You can still receive in-app alerts like toasts or within the interface as you actively use Jiro
In-App Preferences
The following categories have the option to enable or disable in-app notifications:
- Insights
- Discover
- Perks & Engagements
You will be able to decide what type of notifications you receive: push, in-app, or both.
Frequency, Types, & Timing Of Notifications
The timing and frequency of notifications are dependent on your notification settings as well as the category and triggers.

On the Web vs. iOS Behavior
On The Web
- Notifications may appear in your browser or system tray depending on your browser and operating system
- Badge indicators in the Jiro navigation help you see new notifications while working on your computer
On iOS
- Notifications can appear on your lock screen and in the system notification center
- Tapping a notification will deep link you into the relevant part of the Jiro app, such as the Discover tab when new summaries are provided
- App icon badges may show the number of unread notifications on supported devices
