Deleting Your Account

Deleting your Jiro account is quick, easy, and immediate inside of the Profile Page.

Navigating To Account Settings

On the Web

  1. Click your profile icon in the bottom left corner of your browser.
  2. Select "Profile" from the menu.
  3. Select the Account tab.

On iOS

  1. Click the “Menu” tab in the bottom right corner of the app.
  2. Select “Profile” from the menu.
  3. Select the Account tab.

How To Delete Your Account

After navigating to the Profile Page and clicking on the Account Settings tab:

  1. Click the red "Delete account" button at the bottom of the Account Settings page. A pop up will appear stating "Are you sure you want to delete this user? This action is permanent and all associated data will be lost."
  2. Type your display name, shown in bold, in the text box to confirm.
  3. Click the red "Delete user" button to confirm.

Upon completion, your account will be deleted and you will be signed out of Jiro. Account deletion is permanent, immediate, and removes your data from our systems. No waiting periods, recovery options, or confirmation emails exist.

You cannot undo account deletion. Once your account is deleted, it is final.


What Happens To Your Data

What Is Deleted

  • Profile details found in the Clinician Tab on the Profile page
  • Metrics favorites
  • Notifications settings
  • CME Credit and Perks balance in your Wallet
  • Active subscriptions through Stripe

Retained Data

A small amount of data is retained upon account deletion including:

  • Accepted agreements (Terms of Service, BAA, Privacy Policy, and AI Governance)
  • AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™

Accepted agreements are kept as legal proof of consent. While your Credit balance within your profile is cleared to zero upon account deletion, AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ are still uploaded to the ACCME.


Frequently Asked Questions

Can you delete my account for me? No, account deletion is self-serve within the iOS app or on the web. If you cannot sign in, we can help you regain access to delete your account.

Can I undo account deletion? No. Once confirmed, the account cannot be restored. You will need to create a new account to return to Jiro.

Will I keep getting charged for my Pro or Enterprise subscription? No. Your Stripe subscription will be cancelled alongside the deletion of your account. If you find that you have been charged after deleting your account, reach out the the Jiro support team.

How long until my data is actually deleted? Data deletion is immediate alongside account deletion. Your sign in will be disabled and data is removed from our systems in one action.

I deleted my account by mistake, can you restore it? No recovery is possible, account deletion is permanent. You will need to create a new account if you would like to return to Jiro.
