Spotlights: Overview

What It Is

Spotlights are system-generated highlights that appear at the top of your Practice page. They surface Metrics where you stand out relative to your peers or your own recent history. Spotlights can include Metrics you have already selected, as well as Metrics you have not added to your Metric library.

Unlike Metrics, which you select and configure, Spotlights are identified and delivered to you automatically, then dismissed by Jiro every four weeks. You do not configure which Spotlights appear, but you can dismiss a Spotlight from the carousel by clicking the checkmark in the top right corner of a card. You can view read Spotlights by selecting the "Show read" toggle in the bottom right corner of the Spotlights section.

Clinical Use Case

Spotlights surface data-driven observations you might not otherwise notice as your data updates, patterns that cross a statistical threshold relative to peers or your own history, or that have shifted meaningfully over time. They are designed to bring relevant signals to your attention without requiring you to review every Metric manually. Spotlights show correlations, not causation.

Important To Remember

  • Spotlights reflect fully closed claims data, which typically lags approximately six months behind the current date. They do not reflect recent clinical activity.
  • Spotlights use your self-selected specialty to determine peer groups. Highly focused sub specialists may see peer comparisons that include providers with broader specialty classifications.
  • The Complete/Recent data toggle in Metrics does not affect Spotlights.
